Plenty of Golbins to harvest...and I've gotten the "Goblins hate me for harvesting them" achievement!
We manage to beat down the druid, and he is begging for his life. He says that attacking the town was a bad idea. He said it was the woman’s fault, the one with the torn up belly. The goblin chief is apparently smitten with her. They (Tsuto and chick) came weeks ago, and the chief listens to all of her bad ideas, as well as those of the other four “longshanks”, one is a bugbear. Another is a metal-clad human, and a violent dark-skinned woman that throws fire, and a metal half-elf that plays a flute (Tsuto). He claims that he warned the chief, but that only made him angrier. He agrees to show us the way to the chief’s fortress. He says that the ones that we fought are the ones that “failed” in the attack on SandPoint, and they are occasionally thrown to the “beast” below (the hole that we found). He also says that he sent the alarm, and the chief and others know that we are here. We heal up a bit and carry on.
We reach the bridge and do some watching. There are two sentry towers (wood, 30 feet tall), each with two goblins on them. There are also at least 3 goblins on goblin dogs, patrolling the base of the castle. The ones on the towers have shortbows, and the ones on the dogs have dogslicers. Cezar takes a look at the bridge, and only 3 of us can be on the bridge at the same time, or it will break away from the far side. We go back to retrieve arrows before proceeding, and hear a loud roar coming from the hole. I dump a few harvested goblin bodies down the hole.
Back at the bridge, we come up with a plan of attack, and go across. Unfortunately, Cuddox is spotted immediately after he starts across, so he comes under fire almost immediately. We all manage to get across the bridge and deal with the outside guards.
We go in, into a trophy room full of goblins (Cezar wades into the room instead of just opening the door and letting the archers finish them off, but it works out OK). We kill the goblins, and discover a pair of huge harpy wings stuck to the wall by a bunch of daggers. We explore some more, and come to some kind of throne room. The room has a couple of goblins, and 1 goblin riding a gecko (Chief Ripnugget). We deal with them and wander around some more. Other than some decrepit sleeping chambers and a bad smelling meat locker, and an armory with crude weapons, we don’t find much.
