We buy a Wand of Delay Poison for 1,000gp
We’re back at the ziggurat. We head straight to the large ziggurat in the mountain. An impressive fog has rolled in today. It’s even harder to see too far. We follow the trail near the mountainside. Benco tries to lead us off the trail near the entrance to approach from the east.
The sides are covered with bulging eyed lizards. Talaluk olman god of rain. Benco notes that there are 3 ruined buildings to the west. Benco makes out a skinwalker on guard northwest of us. He comes back to us and reports.
Benco sneaks up near the ziggurat and is pretty confident he sees no skinwalkers on it. Alex pops a message on the party. We want to check the pyramid so we head to sneak the guard.
Benco hushes up and spots two skinwalkers. He gets a quick delay poison and a resistance and then heads up. They don't notice him halfway there. He notes 6 skinwalkers and relays to us.
We freeze for a second and plan. Alex gets a haste on everyone and Benco move up to begin combat. Surprise round?
Zeden: Move straight to S6

We finish off the skinwalkers. We bind the wounds of the Tiefling, Thogriff.
The buildings seem the same as skinwalker huts. The middle one seems a little better.
Loot. Skinwalkers same.

Buildings? Benco searches. In the Skinwalker huts we find some gold and jewels. An obsidian olman statuette. Some octopus creature…
The tiefling building: Cleaner at least. Some nice food. A damaged ledger. Written in a strange language. He hands it to Alex. It’s abyssal.
The number of sacrifices: 160 since tiefling arrival. 14 special kills. 44 pearls have been sent below. All but 9 have been sent to scuttlecove.
Scuttle Cove is a pirate port. Legendary as a pirate haven. No clue where it is.

We are going to wake the Tiefling. How? Heal checks.

Zeden tries diplomacy. Lets us shift him to helpful
Teif: Fine! I’m just here as envoy for the Crimson Fleet. They're making sure these guys are making the pearls. I’m Thogriff.
B: Have you been inside?
T: No. It's where the two headed does his rituals to make the pearls. The leaders were all upset of someone killing them. Some ghoul was supposed to attack Farshore and failed. They've been trying to find you.
Z: how many are in the mountain?
T: I dunno; they pulled back. Maybe 10 walkers and an acolyte. Kala the two headed. He’s probably demogorgon’s special envoy.
T: They do the ritual on the top of the pyramid to start the pearl process. Then the Crimson Fleet gets them. I can tell you of the fleet… if it saves my life.
Z: It won't hurt.
T: They’ve been sticking the pearls near Scuttlecove.
Z; Where would that be?
T: I don't know where the base is but i know where Scuttlecove is. 1200 miles northeast of here. 16days.
Alex: Somewhere in the Pirate Isles.
Benco: You know of the farshore attack?
T: I heard of it, but i heard it failed.
With little else to ask we pretty much leave him to his own devices. No one is quite sure how he’s going to leave.
Zeden: area heal. 17hp. Him too.
Thogriff: Good luck to you, I guess.
We give him a Skinwalker sword and shield he leaves to his own fate.
To the Ziggurat.
It rises 70’ into the air.
At the peak is a 8’ diameter stone disk. Caked in blood. There are obvious signs that the disk is dragged to the side and moved back. Sainooli takes a few minutes to search but finds nothing else.
Sainooli tries to push the 15,000lb stone.
Alex to Benco. You find a way to open this?
Alex: No magic. But the monster inside can open it from the inside?
Zeden: Sure... (roll eyes)
We’re sure the timeframe of the scrapes means the skinwalkers were moving it.
We leave it for now and head to the large gate in the mountainside.

Rows of 7' tall slabs carved in olman guards. Olman warrior with a ferocious grin carved on both doors. How do we approach?
Alex: I detect no magic.
Sainooli steps up to the door. Nothing goes off. She’s taking 10 to the door.
Monumental entrance. No signs of how to open it. Size implies some kind of counterbalance system. Sainooli detects no traps. She notes the system to balance the doors has been damaged. Without fixing it nothing short of tremendous strength will open the door.
8 feet thick. Sainooli knocks. No One answers.
Benco is looking for another trail. Just north of the door is a faint trail leading north. He leads us away. Soon the trail seems to end in the mountain face.
Oh, look. A secret door.
A worked stone and tile walls of ancient Olman design. Sainooli leads the way, checking the floor. The long passage ends in a wall. Sainooli finds no obvious passage.
Benco points it out to her.
Oh, another secret door.
It opens into a room. Hallway to south. 4’ tall clay pedistal looks like a mini ziggaruat. A cup on top runs down to a trough around the base. Olman pictographs on it.
Sainolli reads: "May the blood keep safe the flesh." She searches the mini ziggurat. No secret doors. Little flakes of discoloration in the little troughs.
We ponder but soon head to the south hallway. It’s easy to note the passage is sloping downward. Sainooli leads again. Partway down and she hears a click! Behind us we hear a scraping of stone on stone. Part of the wall slides up and a huge boulder rolls down at us!
Bam! The boulder rolls 40’ and is on Alex’s ass.
Sainooli: Run! Double move.
Zeden: Run! Double move.
Alex: Run! He’s in the dark so the first few feet are hard.
Benco: Run! Double move.
Boulder: 80’ Alex reflex 26! PEP Fail 45dmg Alex is prone.
Sainooli: Run! Find an intersection
Zeden: run around corner. Quick sees some crude wood altar covered in blood.
Benco: Run to corner!

Crakoom!!! The boulder slams into the far wall.
Alex: My everything hurts!
We limp to the left chamber. A single lump of wood as an alter. Sticky with blood and a bloody trail leads from the altar to the stairs down.
We move to the hallway across the bowling alley. A room to the right and Benco peeks in. Stone benches line the walls. Broken cabinets lie under the benches. Benco finds nothing of value. We continue down the hallway. Another chamber at the end of the hallway.
Some horrifyingly rotten smell wafts to our noses.
The stone walls are barren. A horrible smell of decay is blown by a fresh air current. Four pillars rise to the ceiling. Benco finds nothing of value. The stench is coming from the north. Further to the east Benco makes out the large doors. He notices some kind of floor trap near the doors.
He thinks it causes a fusilade of poison spears to shoot out. We save it for later.
Sainooli heads north. The large chamber holds a domed ceiling and an octagonal pit with a ledge. She continues to search.
Benco notes some chamber to the south.
Reeks of rotten flesh. Clearly coming from the pit. She gets close enough to just peer in and see some seething mass of pink flesh.
Alex: Detect fiendish presence. Nope
Stinky fleshy tissue covered by a membrane of skin, hair, and fur. As it moves the various bits of bone and meat shift causing it to bulge disgustingly. With it crawling 20 up we realize it must still have 40’ in the well!
It: We've heard of flesh jellies. It eats anything that crosses it’s path. Tropical regions. It’s an ooze, mindless no crit, immune to mind, blind, maybe acid? Eat, breathe, do not sleep.
Sainlooi: Rage draw and move.
It: slides down a little. Horrid stench. Nearly overpowering.
Alex: move to Benco. Heroism
