18HD worth of harvesting… umm… we move on.

We head to the southern passage. The square room is bare of furniture, the walls are covered in friezes. A procession of ancient olman priests on the walls. On the floor is hundreds of copper rings. Alex thinks the rings may be divination by ancient Olmans. It’s not normal magic. Something very specific. No particular patterns. No magic on the rings. Tiny etched symbols on the rings. The writings seems to confirm the divination theory.
Stairs to the west lead down. Landing at the bottom. We search the room. Nothing more
We continue south and see a passage to the west and a large chamber to the south. Sainooli continues to the south.
A domed 70’ ceiling with pillars carved as tree trunks coiled with snakes supports the roof. Olman warriors battling flightless dragons on the walls. They are being defeated by an Olman warrior with a bow made of lightning. The south wall depicts crowned emperor after his victory. 3 rings of circles carved in the floor. 7’ tall statues around the rings. 3 statues stand: 1west, 1east, 1south. All dressed in robes holding scepters. Scepter to the west ends in a sun. East: moon. South is a star.
On the floor between is 3 concentric rings of circular depressions. 3 stone spheres in 3 of these depressions. Innermost sphere sits at west. Outermost sphere sits at south. Middle ring sphere sits at east. Each are about fist sized.
We’re unsure about the bas reliefs.
Alex has seen the bow in the bas reliefs before. It was in the disk from Vesserin that Noltus left with him. It represented something he found in the Flanaess but was from the ancient Olmans. He also realizes the disk is a map of the chamber. The figures correspond to the statues and the pillars are each of the figures on the disk.
The figures are quetzalcoatl, the star. Tescatlepolka is moon. Taneatua the sun.
Each of the three spheres radiate conjuration magic.
Sainooli steps up. She thinks there is something carved on the small stones. She gets a bit closer without crossing the rings and can see the west stone. It has a carving of the sun. She continues. The southern stone has a star, and the west stone has a moon.
Sainooli tries to pick up each labeled stone and move it nearest to it’s “corresponding” statue.
She tries a few combinations but nothing happens and she places the stones back where she found them. She then checks the walls but finds no secrets.
Benco thinks no one has been here in the last few weeks, but more recent than centuries.
Disappointed in our failure, we move on. Back to the hallway we passed.
Sainooli leads checking the floor.
A dozen man sized niches covered in cobwebs. 10 hold mummies covered in Olman garb. And covered in treasure. West and east wall covered in bas reliefs of Olman warriors. We soon agree it’s a burial chamber. It seems odd that it's been untouched by the skinwalkers. Looks like there's been movement. A passage heads south. Sainooli enters and searches without disturbing too much. No secrets. She notes the bodies have not been disturbed. The amount of treasure comes around 25,000gp. She doesn’t touch it. She asks for a detect magic and Alex doesn’t find any magic. No one seems interested in taking anything from the bodies so we continue south. It soon turns right and ends in a door. Old and swollen. Sainooli finds no traps and opens it. Only a 3’ tall pedestal. Several objects surround a statuette of a horrible 2 headed monster.
It looks too familiar.
The room has been repurposed. The shrine is more recent. She moves in checking for traps. We search the room. Benco doesn’t find any secrets or traps. The objects are 5 ivory rhythm sticks. 3 bejeweled bowls. Crumbling bamboo flute and fan. The statuette represents demogorgon. Zeden think it really represents an ASPECT of the demon lord on this plane.
Zeden destroys the statuette and feels a wash of evil energy. He resists the evil curse. He takes the bowls.

Another door across the room and Sainooli boots it open. A hallway turns north. Another right turn and the hallway continues for a bit before turning left to the north again.
And the floor gives way!
The stone crumbles away under the weight of Sainooli and Zeden. Zeden tries to leap back and manages to grab the edge. Sainooli falls 20’ to the level below. She splashes into some water, finding herself in a partially flooded chamber. It seems to be an “interrogation” chamber. 30’ x 30’. There are some kind of cells on one wall.
Alex: What is with you and making TITANIC amounts of noise?
She searches above the water real quick. Table with a trough. Old chains and cells. She climbs out the other side of the hole. There is a flight of stairs leading up. There is a makeshift wall, busted open, near the bottom of the stairs. She takes a few steps up to investigate. She thinks someone bashed into here from up the steps.
With some rope the three of us shimmy across and then they tie up the mage and yank him over.
½ PEP to brian for remembering the poison and the wand. We use more charges.
Top of the stairs. We see light coming from around the corner at the end of the hallway. Sainooli moves to the corner and peeks. She can see a large room with a huge fire and some skinwalkers.
Blazing fire burns in the middle of the chamber. A passage directly across leading out and way down the end of that hallway we can see the lake! On the far side is also some flights of stairs going way up. We think there are balconies. The pit is blazing well and there is no smoke. We see at least 4 skinwalkers. Don’t seem to be moving much and don’t seem to be alerted to us.
We fail our sneaks and no surprise
S4: Quite loudly shouts a warning. Pulls bow ready shot

60’ ceiling with stairs go up to a balcony around the room. The doorway she ran thru is 15’ with a visage of a man and his mouth is the opening. There is some chamber at balcony level.

A door above wangs open. An elaborate skinwalker strides out. Flaming sword and glowing wooden shield. And from behind him comes an ape covered in various totems and jumps down in front of the man faced opening we came in.. It doesn't notice Alex still in the hallway.

Vesserin, and some villagers sweeping the grounds, are quite surprised. Alex does some smooth talking to help ensure no rumors start again. Kevin doesn’t rollplay it so well.
As Vesserin was the man who gave us Noltas’ disk we share what we saw in the Olman temple.
Noltas wasn't convinced the Olman gods were different from Pelor. He didn’t think the ancient Olmans were all evil.
We plan to stay an hour. Get some robes and get out of town. We find a spot and make camp. Secure shelter.
Alex second poison fail. 1str 1con 3rd check good.
Alex studies the area we camp in for a teleport outside of town. The next morning Zeden raises Sainooli. Restoration follows. The rest of the day is uneventful. We rest well that evening and in the morning:
Alex teleports us back to the cross way just inside the main doors. We head west to the alter. Benco leads the way. We note the boulder is gone!
The altar is a single hunk of wood sticky with mostly dry blood. A trail leads to the steps. Benco does a quick search. No secrets. The stairs lead to darkness. Ends in a wall. The blood is quite thick.
Benco searches the blank wall. He’s certain the bloody bits from upstairs must be brought down here and set on the floor. Something must take them because they're not here. Based on the blood amounts he’s guessing only hearts and heads come down here. He found the secret door.
Benco opens the door.
A large water flooded chamber. We’re unable to see the bottom. There is a lip near us. In the room around the walls is the bas relief of a long feathered serpent. The water smells rancid. There are several passages around the room leading out. The ceiling is 10 above the water.
Benco slowly steps in. It’s about 4 feet deep. Sainooli walks on the water. Zeden and Alex follow. We slosh toward the north west tunnel
Jumping out of the water, scaly flesh and reptilian eyes, a noxious reptile attacks
Hezrou. Demons Outsiders. Known to dwell in abyssal mires and waterways. Noxious effect on nearby water. They can waste their intellect. Smart but vicious. Formed from mortal souls who poison. They have resistances to elements. Guessing; electric, acid, cold, and fire. Immune to poison. SR. DR/good spell like abilities. Greater teleport. Summon. Telepathy.
